Custom machine safety guarding

Machine guarding is used when moving parts on a machine or process is exposed and should be guarded with a barrier to prevent any injury to the operator working on or around that piece of machinery.

We recently completed a project that required fitting a custom guard system to an existing machine. It consisted of two sets of triple stackable sliding doors and two safety door locks that lock must be locked in order to start and run the machine. They will not unlock until the machine is stopped. The door locks prevent anyone entering the danger zone while the machine is running. Machine guarding is becoming more of a demand in the manufacturing industry as safety is ramping up on preventing preventable injuries.

If you feel you have a machine that has some potential to cause bodily harm and would like to address the matter, contact us and we can do a risk assessment to see what can be done. A risk assessment consists of:

  • Degree of possible injury
  • How often the risk occurs
  • How it can be avoided
  • How frequent and the duration of exposure

We will work with you to prevent any future potential accidents and get the job done right. Work smart and get it done safely!
